UFC Interim Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor (5'9") may have finally met his match — a 6-foot-9, 400-pound behemoth who is

. McGregor, who is training for a fight against Jose Aldo at UFC 194, sparred with Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays The Mountain on Game of Thrones.

 

Icelandic strongman Hafthór Björnsson has taken on MMA champ Conor McGregor in the ring, and the footage is pretty damn brilliant. While Irishman McGregor is famous for his fighting style and skill, I’m not sure he’s ever had to tackle someone quite as huge as Björnsson.

 

Björnsson, who plays Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane in the hit show, toys with McGregor as the two spar, and seems in absolutely no danger. A man famed for his brute strength, Björnsson broke a 1,000 year-old Viking strength record by carrying a 32-foot, 1,433 pound log earlier this year. In short, he’s fucking strong.

 

It wasn’t exactly a fair fight until The Mountain dropped to his knees.

Just some background -this guy is only 26. He's changed a lot since he was 20. I found one website that said his rapid 'growth' was evidence of anabolic steroid use. Of course who knows.
