Spent a day at the cinaplex today, saw three films. Two Indies and one Biggie.

Biggie was Day After Tommorow, big movie, huge budget, not great-good popcorn flick.

1st indie was A Day Without A Mexican, great idea, could have had better acting and prodution.

@nd indie-Saved-what a hoot!Heathers for the Born again crowd. There was a bit of a problem with the audience, half of them were thinking that this was going to be a pro born again movie. It is anything but.

I just saw the Day After Tomorrow last Fiday early evening and I thought it was alright. I went with family and friends and since I came in last to the theatre. I had to take the aisle seat, not a good idea with all the traffic going by and person next to me was taking a lot of elbow space. I felt cramped. There were were moments where I found myself falling asleep. Overall, good special effects. Sad to see NYC get flooded, since it was New York audience there were lots of boos and a few people threw food and drinks at the screen. It was quite funny to watch. One of the entertaining moments was watching LA get hit by tornados. I may not be too popular when I go back to the office tomorrow morning in Southern California.

Later this week a couple friends of mine are planning on seeing "Born Again". I'm hoping if time permits, I might be able to see the movie. Where I live there is only one theater showing this movie and it's a long drive to get there but I think it'll be worth it

I think Chicago Tribune critic Roger Ebert mentioned something similar about some movie goers may think the movie is anti-christian. Mr Ebert said it is anything but that. Instead it a satirical film involving the lives on teenagers coming to grips with faith and it's implications.
