People keeping thinking that PM means "Private Message," which may be true but I have always remembered it as being "Personal Messages."

However, Xenforo (The software that we running on) upped the ante by calling them: "Conversations."

I will admit that conversations between two people is relatively private. However, either person can add other people to the conversation which is not so private.

Any of the people in the conversation can send an alert on the conversation which means all the moderators and administrators can see the conversation, again not so private.

Either person can elect to have their new conversations send to them as email, opps now we're outside the safety net that the software provides.

A person that doesn't read the part of the email that says: "Don't Reply to this email" sends both the post and the reply straight to Daddy's desk. I usually send them a mild:

"Did you know that when you reply to Message-Forum email that it goes to Daddy? You should go to the message-forum to respond."

You'd be surprised at how many people do this... I took the liberty to uncheck that box in all your profiles. You of course can turn it back on if you wish.

The only thing keeping two people that I'm talking to safe, is that nobody have send a alert on your semi-private conversation. If and when that happens both of you will be taking a vacation.

Remember when I said: "This is now a no-bullying zone?" As the Queen would say: "We are not amused"

Have you ever hear of "Cat o' nine tails?" We have ways of amusing ourselves.

Spying no, but some people seem to want to take out a billboard to be sure that I notice. Using "Conversations" to be Bitchy Divas really wasn't in the business plan for Hooboy or myself.

Just to make sure I understand- when you say 'send an alert,' Daddy, you mean by hitting the Report Option in the left hand portion of the screen for Conversations or Forum Posts?

WTF?

I'm going to guess that stands for Old White Guy.... When I've seen handsome studs in the Gallery, I've said a couple of times that if I could have one night with the man, I'd let my arm be chewed off by a rabid raccoon:

I'm going to guess that stands for: "The World Taekwondo Federation," I'd get a kick out of that!

Now, as any practicing nerd knows WTF stands for "What's this for?" -- usually used when making notes on source code you've inherited and management asks you about the scribbled notes. They're pretty sure you meant something else, and you probably did, but "What's this for?" is defendable.

Daddy,

You are very helpful, and a prince in my book for running this site, but I'm still confused.

I know you explained it above, but its still not clear to me.

And I send PMs. Cud you explain again if you have time?

They shouldn't be considered private.
