Maybe this has been covered, but does anyone know what has happened to the written reviews on the M4RN site? Are they down because of the Rentboy fiasco?

Hi Trebor,

M4RN have removed the reviews, but just temporarily as they're doing some system upgrades to enhance the site due to the massive overload of escorts flooding the site like with Rentmen. LOL.

Received an email from one of the main admins from the M4RN stating the written reviews will be back up and running in the next following week or so.

The written reviews haven't gone anywhere. They have been hosted by Cruising for Escorts for as long as I can remember. The difference is now when clicking on the "Search for Written reviews" button, a dialogue box displays indicating you are leaving the site. Upon agreeing, Cruising for Escort's site displays in a new browser window. In the past, the dialogue box did not appear. The Cruising for Escorts site simply displayed.

The option to look at the written reviews is currently missing from the mobile site.

Actually, on the mobile site , if you click on star reviews, you then get taken to a page with a link to written reviews, which then takes you to c4E. But this is completely not obvious, and I only discovered it because I am smart as a whip and possibly sometimes masturbate to my own glowing reviews :).

Nothing on any mobile site is either intuitive or obvious.

I was so happy to see from this post that you can get to the written reviews from the mobile site that I immediately went to your ad. Unfortunately M4RN/Cruising For Escorts has screwed up the interface between the ad and the reviews on the mobile site-at least they have for you. But I'm betting they haven't singled you out, and that there are going to be problems with other ads too. So using your ad as the case in point-

#1. One option once you get to the Cruising For Escort's Page from your ad is to enter your M4RN Ad Number to get into the written reviews. Well the ad number does not show up on the mobile site.

#2. Not having the number, I used your name. The form asks for your name as listed on M4RN. I didn't realize that 'Mike' and 'Gaite' did not have a space between them. So I wrote 'Mike Gaite'. The Cruising For Escorts results came back with four pages of written reviews. But they weren't all for you. I grew a bit suspicious when the preview blurb on some of the reviews said you were 40+ years old. Another review described you as Latino and had an accompanying picture of an escort that was definitely not you.

#3 Being smart as a whip myself, I figured I had entered your name wrong. I went back to your ad and saw that there was no space between your first and last name. So I went back to Cruising For Escorts and entered 'MikeGaite'. The site still came back with 4 pages of reviews, and it still had reviews for multiple escorts who were still definitely not you.

Finally -

#4. On the ad itself, the ad copy still describes you as versatile. But the new arrow alert describing whether escorts are top/bottom/or versatile is present on your ad. And only the top arrow is shaded in. I can predict that if that is true and not a mistake, then tops everywhere are going to be weeping and wailing over the fact that your callipygian buttocks are now off limits.:(

M4RN still has much work to do on its site. The new "Near You" feature is literally all over map. It thinks 2900 miles away is near me. Something is definitely amiss with the algorithm.

The behavior you described also occurs on the regular site. Ther redesign really screwed things up. They clearly did no user experience testing.
