Rentboy had a function that allowed you to block ads. So for large number of escorts in NYC you could block the ones you were not interested in and suddenly the number of escorts went from, e.g., 400 to 20, a much more manageable number.

RentMen does have the ability to block users, but it works a bit differently than Rentboy's did. The blocked profile will display in search results, but when you attempt to open the ad the RentMen home page displays instead.

rvwnsd is correct... the blocking feature works, but it's odd in that you can see the blocked ad in a search list, but clicking on the ad takes you to your dashboard. And in any case, the escort can no longer see you. I am not congratulating myself, but the block feature is the result of conversations I've had with the site Webmaster years ago when an escort was harassing me because I viewed his profile twice without hiring him (insane)... The Rentmen site is not perfect, but it far surpasses Rentboy in functionality and features. The site fully supports all browsers and operating systems, whereas Rentboy did not. When the Rentboy Webmaster informed me that the site did not fully support very popular browsers like Firefox, or operating systems like Mac OS X (can you imagine???), I nearly fell over. But that explained why as a Firefox for OS X user, my ability to fully utilize Rentboy site features was limited.

Conversations for years? How long has Rentmen been in existence? I wouldn't have thought much more than three or four years.

Rentboy's functioned more as an ignore feature. It really helped to be able to cull the list of the escorts who don't interest you and never will.

One of the things I like about RENTMEN is that when you open an ad of a guy it alerts the escort that you are interested (if you are loged on) and many of them have an automatic reply of "Hi" or some such thing. My experience is that a few follow-up with a short e-mail "Are you interested in meeting?" And for some, this does lead to further conversation and a meeting. However occasionally when I look at the other photos on a guy, my interest quickly deflates and if they continue to poke me (with messages0 I can then employ this "ignore" function on Rentmen.

While I did prefer the block function on Rentboy, the ignore on Rentmen works a bit better in one sense for me: I can "unblock" a guy later on quite easily if (on a second or third look or later recommendation I think I made a mistake). On Rentboy my "blocked" list for some cities was extensive and too difficult to undo.
