It's been talked about on here before. I think more than once. In fact I think it's even been mentioned that he either 'went off' on a client in person or a potential client by email who said something he didn't agree with. Adam has or at least had a channel on YouTube where he posted right wing views.

 

Wasn't one of the videos against same sex marriage? Help me out here Forum Fraters (only a yes or no as posting the link to his YouTube would be revealing his personal info on here-an acknowledged 'no-no')!!!

I met him a couple of years ago. There was no mention of politics or anything else that opinions come up around. He was fun and hot. Unless he has some form of progressive madness he seemed perfectly OK two years ago.

I learned his political views after I met him. I wrote a very good review about him since I think he deserved it based on the job he did. I don't know that I would have hired him in the first place had I first seen those videos on his political views. Still he deserved a good review, I strongly believe job performance is separate from personal views.

 

There is another very highly reviewed escort who keeps a blog that I find quite arrogrant. I would not hire that guy because of his blog, so I undersand where you are coming from.

I totally agree with most of your points, with one exception. From personal experience, he does not always excel at his job. He can be flakey -- missing appointments due to "prior" commitments after having confirmed date and time twice. Showing up late and leaving early to/from rescheduled appointment and being non-participatory during. So far from always excelling.

Well...yes and no. We aren't talking about an auto mechanic here. We're talking about someone you are going to have an intimate experience with. If he has thrown his politics out onto the web, and they have been linked to his escort persona (whether he ever intended them to be or not) they become something that is reasonable to factor into your hiring decision.

 

We make hiring decisions based on all kinds of factors. For me, one of those factors is how comfortable I think I will be around him. Of course all gays don't have to think alike, but for the same reasons, we don't all have to get along just because we are gay. I don't hang out with guys who have his political views. Our core values do not align. I am uncomfortable around them and we don't become friends.

 

He can believe whatever he wants to believe, but I would never hire him. It would be the elephant in the room during the entire session and I just wouldn't bother.

So totally agree with you on this.... As I recently explained to someone, if I am going to be sharing a space with someone, there has to be a sense of "cultural compatibility" with that person - my decisions are based on intersections of many factors -- I boycott businesses run by people whose habits and/or views are odious to me.
