JD, from the hints you dropped in your OP, can I assume the backstabbing escort is XX. X?

Are those the friend's sex chromosomes or are you alluding to his porn stardom?

His porn stardom.

Slight correction to my previous post: It should read XX X

no period after the second X

Care to elaborate, Boomer??? :p

His porn stardom.

His porn stardom is not what got him the job per say from the client. The client happen to like he was more of a bodybuilder type of man as the client didn't know he was a porn star til much later

I'm focusing and concerned more on my friends professionalism as an escort, and fellow porn actor on how he conducts himself in business matters.

Hey JD, no need to elaborate. We are 60 posts into this thread & it's clear you don't want to reveal the name of the escort. I understand that.

From your OP I felt that I had been able to identify this escort. However, I used X's instead of what I thought his initials were. I would never post who I thought the escort was. Only two people have the right to do that, one of them is you & the other is the client.

J.D, you did the right thing in my opinion. Since you brought the guest escort into the transaction, I would see how he could see you as an implied guarantor of his payment from the client.

I find it odd that your client approached the guest escort to cover the client's shortfall, instead of you. If I had been the client, it would have been you that I approached privately, explaining that I had discovered that I didn't have enough cash on hand to cover you both, and I would have asked you if you would allow me to pay you less cash now to make sure the guest escort was covered with fee and tip. I would have assured you that I would pay you the rest as soon as practicable, or, alternatively, I would have asked you (since there is an 8 year relationship) to accept my check to cover the cash deficit. To me, especially given the long standing relationship, I would understand that you had put yourself out there to bring another professional into the transaction, and that shorting the guest escort would disrespect your business relationship with that escort as well as disrespect you for my having asked you for a favor/additional service and then denying the guest escort the benefit of his bargain.

If you approach the client to discuss it, you might consider framing the matter as having had an adverse impact on you with respect to your credibility and standing with your piers in the profession, especially those who you might work with jointly. Impart that such an action hurts you professionally and disrespects you personally, and perhaps express the disappointment that he would put you in that position, but more importantly, that in such a situation, he wouldn't come to you for payment deferment instead of the third party whose pre-existing relationship was with you and not the client.

Alternatively, if you do not want to raise the fist point (how if affects your relationship with others), thus heading advice of some here to just let it go, you could raise the second point (how you wish he had come to you). If your client is an overall decent guy who just had a momentary integrity lapse, he might be able to figure out point number one on his own when he hears point number two.
