I have always found the difference in what European and American film makers and audiences will accept when it comes to nudity and violence interesting. European film makers and audiences have traditionally been very accepting of full, frontal and back, nudity of both actors and actresses. With violence they are much stricter. U.S. film makers and audiences have evolved to the point that they will now accept what I call “boobs and butts”, meaning women’s boobs and butts and men’s butts. Frontal nudity for both sexes is still not acceptable. With violence just about anything goes in American productions.

 

Check out the film “Proposal” in which Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds do a nude scene which includes only a partial butt shot of both. According to the producer/director they did not use body doubles and were both very comfortable doing the scene. A greater degree of nudity in the scene would have definitely worked and I have no problem with that. However, inserting full nudity for no real reason serves no purpose to my way of thinking. Thus I’m a firm believer in using full nudity if it's appropriate to the script, if no,t don’t

I don't know about bacon or pork barrel/belly politics. But Cruz sure sprouts a lot of chazerai.
