The BIG downside to hiring from strip clubs is that it's harder to get a truly versatile guy who is open to a full range of sexual activities.

It's detrimental to some escorts and their mouthpieces on this board when you express any opposition to escalating or outrageous fees. They have done a great job with their spin on topics like how $300 an hour and up is the new norm and how there is something wrong and suspicious about escorts that charge reasonable rates. It is what it is, and I feel bad for all the unsuspecting "real" clients on here that have bought the spin hook, line and sinker.

 

Charge what you want to charge and pay what you want to pay, but don't let any anonymous spin doctor make you feel bad for patronizing escorts with reasonable rates. There are several good ones out there.

 

dtb, I commend you for trying to help fellow clients. It's a tough task. Rookie clients tend to swoon at every word from pros and tremble at the fear-mongering from their proxies. You can lead 'em to the trough, but you can't make 'em drink. If one client considers your message, your effort was not in vain.

A lot of it does have to do with not just how much money someone has to spend, but what that consumer's priorities are. I like a nice dinner and will occasionally (very occasionally) splurge, but I generally look for either a good and relatively inexpensive meal or, at least, a good and moderately priced meal. The day hasn't come where I would pay $300+/hour for someone's company, not when I know there are plenty of other just as nice and attractive guys available for less.... If those guys can find clients who value them so highly, more power to them. It isn't happening with me, though.

 

Person after my own heart. I splurge on books (what a surprise!), not music, and even then I don't spend a lot per book. I just buy a lot of them, in ebook form; it saves room.

 

I don't begrudge those who pay top dollar either; it's up to them whether they're delusional or deliriously happy or anywhere in between.

 

Judging by the responses, it is obvious that many of us have different hiring habits. Over the last few years( as SundayZip mentions) for me, hiring from strip clubs works quite well. Over all I find it to be infinitely more satisfying, but yet I also have friends who do the whole CL and BP route, and have great success, but that isn't for me, and I have friends on this forum who hire a handful of escorts that they consider regulars. For myself, like SundayZip, I like talking to a person and getting to know them first, and testing the waters a bit... before I run off and spend my Social Security check, and more often than not, spending a weekend hanging out with these guys... off the clock, is immensely rewarding.... (yes that happens )...but that's just me. Each to his own, it isn't all or nothing.
