I saw it and found it nice for the most part. It was a modest film, altogether.

I saw Boulevard yesterday, I was affected.

 

Others who hire (most of us here?) should see this flick.

 

A bit close to home, can't say it is a feel good movie.

Don't care for Robin Williams at all. He was one weird twisted kind of person. But I have to admit that subject heading gave me the creeps but my other reaction was "of course, he did."

Saw it yesterday, via Netflix. What a downer! But I always liked Robin Williams, and I think he holds this picture together. Excellent performance. The story is a bit of a stretch, as I wonder if a person his age, living a strait-laced life would do this. But he was sexually repressed, and all he did -- at the beginning -- was to hire a hustler. Definitely worth watching, and I'm sure that there will be many opinions as to the movie's merit.

Watched it today on Showtime on Demand. Way to close to home for me. Found it sad and depressing. That said, thought it was pretty well done, but a bit disappointed by the ending.

You won't like his charecter in "August Rush," but I think you will have to agree that it is a good performance. (imho)

Watched it last night on SHO.

A sad and melancholy film that only reflects the life and story of one closeted man.

Williams turns in a good performance but it's an odd and often depressing tale.

Certainly not indicative of men who hire.

Saw it too. Really sad. I was touched by Kathy Baker's performance as the wife. I felt for her. I thought Roberto Aguirre, the hustler, was a bit flat, but I liked the vulnerability displayed at times (plus I'm always impressed with actors who lose so much weight for a role...he is a looker when he is his normal weight). I kinda had a knot in my throat throughout the whole movie not only for the sexual repression, but the lack of any passion in his life.
