He's too fuckin' cute, so I looked up his ad on rentboy, and he says "**FULLY BILINGUAL: hablo español e inglés*". I love how he's so fully bilingual, that he doesn't know how to say "and" in Spanish. (The Spanish word for "and" is "y").... :p

the letters are close to one another on the key board ... maybe it waw a typo LOL we must exptend a certain measure of grace. Maybe he was in a hurry and forgor to profreed his work.

Steven is right about the Spanish rule, Unicorn. When followed by a word starting with "i" (in this case, "inglés"), the word "y" for "and", which is invariably pronounced like an English long "i" (sheep), becomes "e" to avoid repeating the sound. So, what the escort writes, "español E inglés", is perfectly correct. To write "español Y inglés" would be incorrect, and sounds like what a child would say...Now, if you switch the terms, the correct form would then be "inglés Y español". Oh, just in case, Spanish is my mother tongue :)

It's a rule. When after an "y" with the meaning of "and" comes a "i.." or "hi.." you must change "y" into "e".

As long as you understand what he's saying you're fine.

Yes, communication is all that is required. Give him a break, guys.

As a former high school Spanish teacher let me say that Ricky Ford's Spanish grammar is 100% correct. In Spanish the letters "y" and "i" have the same pronunciation and and cannot be placed next to each other thus y ingles is incorrect and e ingles IS CORRECT. Congratulations to Ricky for knowing his grammar which is something many native Spanish speakers don't.

I chatted with him a lot when I was in Europe in May. He's a nice guy. I don't know why you'd want to make fun of his grammar.

What's funny is, he is probably making fun of OUR Spanish grammar!

Can someone please lock this thread down? It's not only rude to make fun of someone's English or Spanish, it's becoming borderline offensive.
