I always charge upfront when I first meet someone it just saves any disagreements afterwards because maybe the communication that took place about the pricing wasnt clear over the phone or email. Once I get to know a client having visited them a few times I may just wait until afterward and grab the payment then but usually they don't mind giving it to me upfront with my asking for it, I am not in this to cheat people out of their money and I think that is felt in how I treat them.

For me, that is not a big issue. It will cost me the same either way. Actually less, since I tend to tip well. The guy says he hasn't been escorting long (????) which may have something to do with it. Also, his rates are reasonable.

Oddly enough I recently met another young newbie to the business in Vancouver and he asked for his fee up front. I told him that wasn't my usual practice; he was insistent but polite. In the end after a few emails I decided I could trust him and had his fee waiting for him on the table. We had a couple of drinks, chatted a bit before getting down to business and he never touched the money until he left. Afterwards we talked about getting his free up front and he said the reason was that he had heard too many stories of getting ripped off from his friends in the business and he was just being cautious. The next time we met it wasn't an issue.

Hmmm...almost 200 hits on my inquiry, and no one has a line on this guy. He looks like a real stud, so I would think he would have pretty wide appeal. He has been very communicative via email. Is Vancouver so far off the beaten path? I wouldn't think so. It is a major city after all. If her were not over 100 miles away, I would give him a shot without much hesitation.

However, if you go to Vancouver, you MUST meet Juan, and depending on your interests, meet Juan's partner too. I have been with Juan several times and he is a 15 on a scale of 1-10. I have met a couple of other guys in Vancouver as well and had an excellent time, one specializes in erotic massage and is very good at that, and then it morphs into more fun. Thanks for the tip on Juan and partner (yeah, partners are fine with me.) Have been to Vancouver only once and was most favorably impressed. In July, Theater Under the Stars in Stanley Park is doing "Hairspray" which I have never seen. Saw them do "How to Succeed in Business..." and the production was terrific (I am not easily that impressed.) Might run up for 3 days in July and try out the local talent--theatrically and otherwise.
