Hey gents.

I'm thinking toward a possible visit to Hero/NYC in the next month or so but am curious about the logistics of getting a spa massage. How does it usually work? Do you need to know who to ask for? Are your belongings secured during the session? What about tipping? Anything else I'm not asking?

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have. Feel free to PM if you like.

Thanks, Beethoven. Intrigued only as a possible diversion when I've an hour or two to kill in midtown. Back in the day, I would have just cooled my heels at Gaiety or ShowPalace, but alas...

I suggest you look into any of the Taiji massage locations (http://www.tjbodywork.com/services). No frills, but clean locations, solid massages, at $50-55 per hour a real bargain. Mostly female masseuses (but they are stronger than most men) and you can request a male masseur. I give the masseur/masseuse a $20 tip - worth it.

No 'play time' though, this is just a rejuvenating, solid massage. Perfect when you got an hour to kill.
