Taking Control of Escort Rates

Interesting discussion of what the price an escort charges for his service is and what a client is willing to pay. This seems to me to be a case of economics 101 where buyers (the clients) are seeking to buy a service (escort time). If all escorts were the same in the eyes of all clients (say like a lump of coal - one lump same as the other), there would be no reason to pay more for the services of one escort rather than the other. Let's face it though, there is a real mix of escorts out there, with some clients willing to pay a whole lot more for one type (say a twink) rather than another.

 

The important thing is that clients aren't out there shopping randomly -- they have a lot of informaiton from the HooBoy site and whatever communication or experience they have had with the escorts.

 

I am sure you can pay $300 for an escort and have a bad experience and maybe $100 and have a great experience. I have pretty much gotten what I have paid for, largely as a result of the information on the HooBoy site.

 

Do escorts charge too much? I am sure that some escorts charge more than some clients want to pay. Clients can always find other escorts if they want to -- there seems to be a pretty good supply (that word again) to meet the demand. Guess I am a free marketeer, but if escorts really were charging more than what clients want to pay, you would see plenty of guys getting into the business at a lower price.

 

Would I like to pay $100 for the service of a great escort who now charges $250 or $300? I sure would, but then I would also like to buy a new Porsche for $10,000. Escorts can and should charge what they can -- they are not charity workers; they can negotiate their rate or services provided if they want to or not. If I am a smart shopper, I am going to look around and figure out whose time really is worth 300 of my dollars -- that's where HooBoy reviews come in very, very handy.

 

This is a very roundabout way of saying thanks again HooBoy for getting all this great information to help this business operate -- maybe some business student will do a study of how your site helps buyers and sellers come together. :-)

I am taking control of escort fees going forward. In the past I would simply pay the asking price without question. I also would hire guys who charge a much as $300.he with the average being $250.

 

Now I will no longer pay more than $180.hr for most or $200.hr for someone who is appropriately well reviewed here or has a solid reputation.

 

I will not ask the escort to lower his fee, if it is more than the above. I simply will let the escort know what I can afford to pay and let him make the decision.

 

I'm tired of overpaying (in my book) for a service, while beneficial, is way overpriced in my market.

 

As always I will treat the escorts with respect and hopefully continue to have a good time with them and they will enjoy our meetings as well. I just feel it is time to put a stop to all this Hollywood Star Syndrome in my area.

 

The few "test" appointments I tried at the end of last month worked well. Two escorts were above the $180. were not reviewed well here if at all and were asking $225. I informed them of my interests, preferences and what I could afford. Both accepted my $180.

 

In the future if I'm turned down then I will move on to the next escort. I also have been using craigslist with some success where the escorts charge $100. - $150.
