? On The New Conversations --Formerly Private Messages

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in Daddy's Lounge since it's a tech question regarding this new Forum software. But then I figured--that's a place for gurus and maybe more people would see the question here if they are having similar problems.

 

SO my question is how do I get rid of the little red superscript number affixed to my Inbox heading on the top right of the Forum Homepage? I've gone to the Conversations and checked the box that allows all messages to be checked. And then I've gone to the option--"Mark All Conversations Read" and where I thought that would remove the superscript, it hasn't.

My question is, are the conversations Private or is it viewable like the profile posts? I do like the new look very much but want clarity. Thanks!
