Although Nirvana’s famous frontman Kurt Cobain passed away over 20 years ago, his life story continues to be a topic of intrigue.

 

Directed by Brett Morgen, Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck takes a look inside the life of a tortured artist and features interviews with family members, including Cobain’s wife Courtney Love, and never-before-seen home videos. The film premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

 

Frances Bean Cobain, Love and Cobain’s daughter, is the executive producer of the film, which will air on HBO on May 4.
