Does anyone else have a "thing" for many theme calendars?

2004. Time for new calendars. I usually have more than one calendar hanging in my home-office. This year, I have a Star Trek calendar, A New York State Nature calendar and a Catholic Saints calendar (I decided my Naked Rugby Team Photos calendar would cause me to get a rash if I displayed that next to the Saints).

So, you calendarphiles, how is it hanging with you?

Since the mid-80's I've been buying 12 calendars a year; mostly naked men, tho some are only scantily clothed. They hang in my home office and friends are amazed that I can get any work done at all.

I discovered while I was rotating my 2004 calendars, that the calendar for 2005 is a repeat of 1994, so I already have my 2005 calendars in hand.

I have found the large calenders are great for keeping track of meetings and planned trips.

This year was a bonaza with 2 large ones and one smaller flip desk model in addition to the calender pads around the house for daily notes like phone numbers and such. But I think they ahve gotten out of hand with to many to keep track of.

Sounds like you have your own stable!:+

My love, Maverick, started me out on multiple calendars in the same room. I've always loved how the pictures change during the year. In fact, it got me into a habit of rotating most of the rest of the art on the first official day of each season. In the living/rehearsal room, behind the computer desk are two neato but tamer calendars, last year's and this one's Boys Will Be Boys cartoon calendars from 10%. Yes, we've started putting up multiple years now, too. As well as only requiring ourselves to have one calendar in each room turned to the current month. In the body work, etc. office, there are two naked men calendars and in our bedroom there are eight. Yes, right now there are only gay calendars throughout our home. Maverick used to love the Georgia O'Keefe calendars, but for some reason got a bit over them as of last year. And my favorite calendar used to be the National Cathedral calendar, which was sent to me by my wonderful but now deceased mother, and I still haven't gotten around to donating money to them to get on their sucker list yet, though that envelope has been near the bottom of my to be paid stack for at least nine months. (Yes, Maverick is still a Cub, but one of my New Year's resolutions is to try to quit mentioning that around here as it is misunderstood by some of our friends here.)

I've moved to electronic calendars; Outlook and my Palm are pretty much all I use. I do have a page-a-day flip calendar on my desk organizer; only because it looks silly without one in it.

I also love hanging "new" calendars each year. This year I only have three---trying to economise!! My favourite place to hang them is the bathroom. I am a great fan of the coffee-table book: "An African Ark" written by Beckwith and Fisher, so when they came out with a series of calendars--"Women of the African Ark"--I bought them. One year, and one year only, I managed to get a "Men of the African Ark" calendar. Sorry to say I haven't seen one since.

I also love the Sierra Club Calendars (that's one of my others) and have a sister-in-law who loves lighthouses, so I always buy her at least two calendars featuring lighthouses.

If you are in an economy mode---because of the tanking of your portfolio--and can wait until after Christmas and the New Year, you can buy most calendars for at least 50-75% off right now.

There's an Outlet Mall not too far from me which has a shop with nothing but calendars!!!!

I don't like PDAs and each year I would buy a brand new day planner (style) organizer. This year I could not find any that interest me so I gave up .. and so far I am using nothing. So anybody have links to a nice organizer that might be a little different (not sexual) just well laid out and nice. If so please post otherwise I am going to have a lot of little pieces of paper laying about.

I don't use anything on-line. However, for the past 4 years, I have been using a planner called "Upper Class" by Mead. Well, it isn't really a planner but a monthly calendar that is a decent size.

I enjoy the Far Side Calendars. Gary Larsen continues to entertain me after all these years.

RE: Day planner - homemade

One of the clunkiest looking things I drag around with me regularly, but also frequently one of the most helpful ones, is the day planner I make myself. All of the other day planners I found only had hour by hour, or - as I prefer - half hour by half hour - in one part of the day. And my schedule is based primarily on a fortnight cycle rather than a one week one. So I went to the computer and made a two week calendar, one page a day, and put on it the things that regularly happen, printed up a bunch of them, and voila! Which is probably not going to impress any of you PDA people, but it works for me. And it's size may be laughable, but it's harder to lose. Sorta like a three dollar green plastic watch that way. The more you wouldn't mind losing an object you carry around, the longer it is before you actually do lose it.

I used to favor the Simpson's calander. Quite informative with something notable on each day. Every Christmas I have given a buddy of mine the Far Side calander. Recently I have been buying the South Park calander

This is from the main site of:

How do you order the calendar, and the making of DVD, in America?

Thanks
