nice picture, if him.....doesn't seem to merit running away from, but I'd text him and see if he's up for a live phone chat....if all seems fine at that point, yes, see if he's ok with meeting in a public place convenient for him....treat him to a coffee, beer, or small meal for his brief time....(some entirely worry-free, safe guys still may not agree to this)......as always, don't discuss actual sex plans and money in the same convo....

I don't hire escorts; I stick to massages. And the advice given here seems eminently sensible. But, why in the world would you want to hire a guy whose ad says that he's never done this before, and is already having second thoughts?

One shouldn't even hire masseurs without recommendations, and that would seem to go double for escorts. In this case, you would need ten notarized recommendations!

On the basis of only one pic, and with no face, my first reaction would be to say "no". But on the other hand all escorts have a starting point. My guess is he's straight and broke. I think you need an nsa meeting in a public place and go from there.

his phone number is a google subscriber one. To me that's a warning sign.

That could be a red flag but lots of people use Google voice now. Especially if you want to keep that part of your life separate. No different then people setting up different email addresses.

I agree a lot of guys use google phones. However- how do you know it's a Google phone?

Because "The Google Subscriber you have reached is not available" came on when I tried calling him

I have it myself. It's free and I recommend it. Check out the video. It explains it.

Agree with Chance...do a Starbucks meet-n-greet, or Skype.
+1...The shyness and hesitancy in his ad is sort of sweet; I find it appealing. Meeting him first on neutral territory will not only allow you to vet him, it might also calm him down and let him see that you're not scary. I've taken chances like this a couple of times -- once I met a real gem; the other time wasn't much; the guy was too scared. Good luck! And report back.

I agree.

I agree that the shyness is sweet. But I would recommend doing an image search on his pic. When I did this, a person's blog popped up. Could be him. I just don't know...

Where'd you get a blog? That didn't show up when I had the search

It's interesting... when I used Google Image Search earlier, I found a blog also. But, now, it's not showing up.

I found it my browser history, but I can't post a link to it because I think it would reveal his real name and break forum rules.

There's a Youtube channel link in the blog. Which means whoever has this number would have to have the same voice as the guy in the Youtube vid in order to be real. If not...

However, I get more of a sense that this is a fake ad. The uncropped photo can be seen on the blog. It takes it to the owner's flickr account which had the picture online January 28, 2015. The ad on Backpage was posted 3 minutes after midnight on January 29th. Granted, the locations for both the Youtube owner's channel and the location of the ad is similar but still. It could be fake, but it might not be.
