A frustrating quandary which others might have some insight on.

I went to a masseur who advertises on M4M in NYC last year which I arranged by text message. He also escorts. He was sweet but not really my type. Almost immediately, he started sending me texts, mostly of private NSW videos and other texts which I didn't want appearing while I was at work at home or at all. I wrote him directly and asked him not to but a few days later, more appeared. I realized eventually that he sends these as group texts, probably to his entire client list (former and present) so he didn't know (or care) who I was anymore. Again, I asked he to delete me and took the step of blocking his number on my cell phone, which lasts for three months. Last week, I got another text since the three months had expired. Put in another block. Last week he came up on my Facebook (with his real name)as someone I may want to friend (I guess FB used my phone book as a basis for making such recs; I don't want to delete his number so I know it is him.) I don't really care about the FB thing but the texting is very frustrating.

Any advice on what to do? Anyone had this type of problem before. I've tried a few times now, don't really want to contact or speak to him again as I really don't trust him. It does serve as a warning to anyone who uses text messages.

Warning to anyone using text messages, or Facebook for that matter.

Peterc and others here, always use a 'pay- as- you - go" phone when you initially contact a (unknown) masseur or escort. Escorts use stage names, I recommend the same for the clients. Cheaply available at Best Buy, register it under a 'alternate' name.

I see where some people here call it a 'bone phone', and don't bring that to work or other sensitive places.

I believe you can block someone permanently if you have an iPhone. There is apparently a way to block callers with Google Voice too. If you have an Android phone, I read that there were 3rd party apps as Google hasn't built that functionality into Android itself. The apps may or may not work depending on your phone.

You can block his number so if he calls it just goes to voicemail on most phones. I don't think you can stop the texts though.

If you set up Google Voice on your phone you can block all his text messages though.

You can also just call your carrier, and they will do it for you. Armadillo's idea of a "pay as you go" phone is an excellent idea. A small layer of protection to your privacy.
