There have been many clients that have contacted me and asked if I was comfortable seeing them because they were positive. HIV is a reality of our community and an escort would be silly to turn down poz clients.

BRAVO, ChrisW!

It is tragic when members of the gay (or any) community diminish the value of persons living with HIV/AIDS... when someone asks me if I am "clean" I kinda freak out on them...

"Suggestions" are problematic because they often have more than one possible meaning. For example, I could infer from your post that you are looking for a positive escort and are therefore positive yourself. I could also infer that you are NOT looking for a positive escort and are wondering if ad copy is a way to deduce that an escort is actually positive. Unless I ask you directly, either outcome is equally possible. There are many, many threads on HIV and its impact on escorts and clients. Most tend to agree that it's short-sighted to focus on just HIV, and that there are other things to worry about as well. Tell your potential escort exactly what you're looking for upfront and worry first and foremost about your own safety.

+1 and well said, Chris E and Chris W

While it is best to always assume that every person you choose to have sex with is HIV+ and take the precaution of safer sex, if you are curious, either as a cleint or escort, simply ask. The integrity of the person you are asking may determine if you are getting an honest answer, but having that open communication about your status is good for your sex life whether you are hiring or not.
