CNN had a report on Pen Farthing, who reunites servicemen with

the strays they befriend in Afghanistan.

 

Pen Farthing?

 

I wonder what the "Pen" stands for.

 

If anyone else remembers the Really Big Front Wheel with Tiny Back Wheel

bicycles from the turn of the last century: Those were known as

Penny Farthings, because they reminded people of a penny next to a farthnig.
