Thanks so much. Help me understand: What is the objective of the scam? Do they anticipate someone will actually hire them, they show up and get paid despite the deception? Or are they just mischievously creating false ads for the fun of it? Something else perhaps?

Yes, people generally follow through with the appointment despite the photo deception...and then discover they don't get the service they expected.

 

This particular person has been traveling around the county for almost 6 years now. It must be lucrative or he wouldn't keep doing it.

 

And he's own picture are (or at least used to be) good enough to get him appointments. It's just that no one would actual hire him if they knew who it was in advance.
