La Trix gets la flu

Oh boys and girls, this is one you'll want to miss! It's been a long, long time since I've felt this bad. If flu shots are still available where you live, I highly recommend getting one.

Sorry to hear about your flu. Can't remember the last time I had it and religiously get a flu shot.

 

But, what were your first symptoms? I'd like to know what to look for in case I happen to get it this year.

 

Did you find anything that helped to make you feel better?

 

So far in my state there have been three deaths from the flu. Two were older people with existing health problems. The latest, reported today, was a previously healthy person in their early 20's.

Well, it started with joint & muscle aches, Thursday afternoon, and a raspy, itchy cough. A fever has kept me with the chills Thurs & Friday night, and most of today, although that seems to have broken. No runny nose or congestion, oddly enough.

A friend suggested Hunan hot chili oil... it seems to help! I put it in a stir fry tonight, and it certainly broke my fever for the time being.

I'm so sorry to hear you got the flu. Please take care and don't push yourself too hard. The last time I got the flu, I didn't do that, and it turned into pneumonia.

 

…and don't forget to drink LOTS of water!
