Montreal accomodations

I know this may have been discussed before as far as hotels, but I was curious about anyone's experience or recommendations on Bed & Breakfasts in Montreal - particulary gay or gay friendly ones relatively close to St Catherine Street.

 

I am considering the following two, with links attached and hopefully the links will work:

Any other B&B suggestions would be happily received, as well as reasonable hotels. I am familiar with the Gouverneur, and have not been entirely satisfied there in the past.

i only stayed at one b&b in montreal, "auberge cosy" on ste catherine, one block east of stock bar, on the opposite side of the street. it was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. only reason i stayed there was it was grand prix week in montreal, and all hotels were booked when i tried to reserve a room. my only reason for not staying there again, except for an emergency situation, is that there wasn't a private bathroom with the room, which i find inconvenient when bringing dancers back for a private.

Aubergelle is great!And the fellas that run it are so warm and friendly-they have no problems with "visitors"as long as the "visitors"behave themselves.Nice variety of rooms-clean and comfortable-and close to the campus!

Thanks Shy and BGP for your responses. BGP I have followed your postings and you seem to have some great knowledge of both the Montreal and L.A. scenes - through much personal contact I'm sure! *evil grin* Actually I am hoping to make it out to L.A. some time in the next couple of months. I think it would be great for an east-coast M4Mer to perhaps be able to meet up for one of the L.A. meeting that I hear all of you "left-coasters" discussing so excitedly!

 

Anyone else have any info to share on B&B's in Montreal??
