I will be in Napa next week for a while and wanted to know if there were any recommendations for the group. I don't know how many people would be willing to drive up (or over), but cost isn't really an issue. Maybe someone has done this and knows of people willing to make the drive. My preference would be hairy and somewhat built. Nothing too strange, just a good roll in the hay. Thanks for the tips.

I kind of thought that, but since I don't know the area, I didn't know if the drive was just too much for people to consider. I was hoping that something like $500 bucks would take care of for the extra travel time.

Depends on where you're staying in Napa, but most places in the valley are less than a 90-minute drive from SF. Keep in mind that many SF boys are loath to leave the city, but in my mind, $500 is more then fair compensation for an excuse to drive to the beautiful Napa Valley for the day.

So ... three hours of driving plus an hour with the client. $500 for a *minimum* four hour investment of time?

I'd probably turn that down. You'd be taking him out of circulation for far longer than the nominal four hours (not to mention the insult of asking him to work four hours for two hours' pay).

That kind of driving takes a toll. Expect to pay for it. And be suspect of anyone who agrees to do it on the cheap.

My idea was that the $500 was just for the travel. Any time with the person would be extra. Just wanted to know if $500 was about right for the travel time cost.

ToddMan, you didn't provide much description of the man you'd like to spend some time with, but if you're going to be searching among the men of San Francisco, you couldn't choose a friendlier fellow than Nate Bruno. He definitely meets your criteria of "hairy" and "a good roll in the hay," in addition to which he is easy and interesting to talk with, smart, versatile, intuitive and a ton of fun. He does have a "real world" job, so his availablility and willingness for travel probably can't be any time/any day, but if you send him an email inquiry, you're likely to get a timely and very friendly reply.

Two thoughts... First... from reading the OP's preferences, even though I have never met him I thought of Nate immediately as not only did the description jive, but I knew that he was in the general area. Plus, I also think that 500 for the drive seems more than fair recompense for the trouble.
