I live 40 miles west of Boston, so any "outcalls" have to be in town.

Can anyone suggest a relatively inexpensive hotel? My default has been the

Westin / Copley square, but only because my business meetings have been there,

or at the Fairmont [which is an incredible ripoff. Ask me if you like, via PM].

 

Adding >$300 to the cost of the time of a gentleman is frequently worthwhile,

but I'd like to reduce it, if possible.

 

As an addendum: I have spent as little as $75 at the Westin ... but on Christmas Eve.

You might try the Boston Common Hotel; it is not on Boston Common, but just off Copley Square, behind the Copley Plaza Hotel. future rates should be $150 - $200 per night.
