Why do a disproportionately large number of black escorts advertise as "dominant"? Is it that they believe that whites who seek out black escorts want to be dominated? Granted, there are many who like to be dominated but, in proportion, I do not see that many white escorts who promote themselves as being dominant.

I can't answer your question. But in my reading a large proportion of them promise to be be 'dominate' not 'dominant'. I wish they understood grammar a bit better.

Misspelling, typing mistake ... or not reading after clicking send, I'm guilty as charged of all 3.

I see it too often. It's in way, way over the majority of the ads placed by Black escorts on Backpage, or sometimes even Rentboy/M4RN. In fact if it's ever spelled correctly, I'm shocked. Even if it's due to auto-correct or spellcheck, it shows that they either don't recognize the difference, don't proofread, or both.

I think the real problem is that we Americans get lazy speaking the ends of words.

T

I see it so often in ads that I truly think the ad writers don't understand the error.

They spend so much time doing all that stupid fancy stuff with crazy lettering and symbols and the like, they wouldn't have the time to proofread even if they were aware of the mistakes, lol. I occasionally see mentions of "fedishes" too - I wonder what that is? ;-)

All those thug-style ads seem to be doing nothing more than copying from each other. All the mentions of stuff like "deep tissue massage" (how many of them even know what that IS, let alone being able to do it), probably simply to make the ad sound legit - lots of pairing of "fetishes and fantasies" (or, "fedishes and fantasies" lol) as if they always go hand in hand...lots of asking for "generous" and "upscale" as if they think we weren't looking to hire and had to be told...using "reasons" as a cock measurement (as in "...with 9 thick hard reasons for you to call me..." etc) - let alone the trying-way-too-hard-to-be-hip style in the pics...

I guess a lot of clients must really go for that bullshit, because the ads keep going and going...

One reason the ads on Backpage keep going and going is that it does not cost to advertise on Backpage.

On the other hand, some of the monthly fees to advertise on rentboy.com are more than $70 and some are as high as $100.

The Backpage ads are often merely copy jobs of prior posts and, as I wrote, the ads are free.

When an escort has to pay for an ad, the escorts are a bit more careful how they word their ads.

THAT one is incredibly widespread. Hell, for years Daddy's review submission form (and Hooboy's before it) wrongly used the word dominate where it should have used dominant.

I often seek out hung dominant black men. I like take charge tops with no versatility. These scenes run the gamut from passionate but insistent, to fun-loving and selfish, to mean-spirited rough trade. The guys I hire often cater strictly to these types of scenes. I think that there are a lot of clients out there that like the stereotype of rough, dominant black guy.
