411 on Gay DC Cab Driver

When I was DC last year I used a cab driver who someone had recommended because he was gay and knew all the gay clubs, strip clubs, etc. I think he had like a number one on his cab or something and it was some kind of tan color I think. I used his cab when I went to Wet. Can't find his phone number now.

 

Anyone have any information on him?

Unfortunately, I can't help you out with finding the gay cab driver, but if you want to find all the gay spots in DC all you need to do is grab a Washington Blade or a Metro Weekly (MW). Both weekly publications can be found all around Dupont Circle and 17th street. They have the name and address of every gay bar, restaurant and club in DC. So, even if you can't find your gay cabbie, you should be able to find your way around this lovely city. Have fun!

You are referring to Larry who advertised in the Washington Blade as Taxi By Larry. I haven't seen his ads in quite a while, so I believe he is no longer doing this.

 

He drove a variety of cabs when I knew him best (I used him every week). My favortie one was the natural gas cab that was blue with white clouds. Man, no matter how many cocktails you had you couldn't miss that one coming down the block.

 

I would always call him to take me home to Maryland which was a good 35 minute ride because he was one of the few cabbies willing to go that far.

 

One of my all time favorite people! He is an ex-hustle boy from the old street days of the late seventies. I spent many nights riding shot gun with him, just having a grand old time. He would always kiss me goodnight and let me cop feels all the time. Of course he referred me to backseat when he was sure I'd get it on with the other passenger. Sigh, such fond memories! Of all the damn luck, I wasn't out the night HBO Taxi Cab Confessions rode with him and filmed the action.
