I stayed at the Grand Hotel, which is part of gay-owned Kimpton Hotels. A convenient location and decent weekend rates. The hotel has a sexy feel. Also, it is connected to the Minneapolis Athletic Club, an astonishingly good gym and training facility - admission is included in the hotel rate.

I am glad travelling escorts are choosing Minneapolis as a destination. There is a substantial gay community and surprisingly few escorts. During a trip there in April, I did look for escorts on RentBoy and RentMen. I must say: slim pickings among the local boys. I did ask around about that here on daddys, but to no avail. I ended up not hiring simply because I couldn't find anybody. I wish you a successful trip, you should do well there.

Minneapolis sustained some great tours for me 'back in the day' (2 years ago or so). Actually ended up being one of the best, until I went to San Francisco. However, likely similar to Denver where I am now...I think it's one of those places where it starts off good initially, but then slowly becomes less and less profitable after 2-4 trips. Needless to say, my Minnesota days have been laid to rest, but I'm happy to discuss my past experiences there.

I went back in October last year, and received no responses from either men4rent or rentboy. I did get some from backpage, but it wasn't at the rates I was used to getting up there. I had almost made the decision to move there, but I had the impression it'd probably end up being another Denver: Promising at first, then miserable after a year or 2. No other cities within the state to work out of, which means constantly have to fly or drive ridiculously long distances. Same old guys who hire sparingly and just want to chit chat, people emailing my ads once, and then not responding back, last minute stragglers, hagglers, not trying to get to any sort of compromise when scheduling...it's a feat to try and do business here. That's why most of the escorts have left, and it's hardly ever you get any new ones starting up. If they do, they disappear within 6 months or less. All the business has turned to trying to capitalize off marijuana. Yet, I'm not seeing a penny of that money reaching my pockets. Pot heads rarely become clients. Denver has already made my self-compiled list of worst cities to be an escort in. I can't wait to leave this place next month, for good.

Anyhow...off on a tangent, but it makes me feel good talking about it. As for Minne's hotels...I generally didn't work downtown so can't give much in the way of suggestions on that. My favorite hotels were anywhere along the 494 and St. Louis Park. Good rates, good location, easy access to the Mall of America.

Hey Guys thanks for the heads up! I'm booked for 4 nights at a swanky downtown hotel. June 21st to 25th. I love Hotwire sometimes, not all the time, but this time it was a jackpot!

Ooo, nice. I used Hotwire before in Milwaukee and got the Hampton Inn downtown. My favorite hotel, right in the center of town. Too bad that deal was only 1 day :(

I've stayed at the Minneapolis Marriott downtown hotel several times. It's a large business hotel that is convenient and discreet for clients.

For art-lovers and those who like modern and contemporary style, I'd recommend Le Meridien Chambers, that opened a couple of years ago as Starwood property. The design is chic and the hotel lobby, public spaces and rooms are tastefully decorated with more than 200 art pieces. In addition you'll be right in the middle of the theater district and Hennepin Ave.

If you stay by the Mall of America and MSP airport you may need a car. I've stayed there once, but prefer downtown Minneapolis.

By the way, there's a Light Rail (Blue Line) that will take you from the airport terminal to downtown Minneapolis http://www.metrotransit.org/blue-line-map

  • 4 months later...

I really enjoyed my time at the W Foshay, the staff are attentive but stay out of your business. I hosted a great session there for a client & another escort for several hours & it was easy as pie. The walls are thick .

There is key security for elevators but like I said the staff trusts you. I had several incalls there & they went off without a hitch. I'll be back next summer for sure. Good restaurants nearby too.
