I'd posted about this guy in a Deli thread since 2012 and no one seems to know anything, but he's still putting up ads on rentboy, and now has an ad on M4M.

He's been using photos that also appear on Wandermen, as well as on the profile of an aspiring rapper/model, and formerly on a Model Mayhem profile. But his own ads have gotten newer pics that look self-taken, and google doesn't turn them up anywhere else, leading me to think he isn't just another Wandermen scam. Also, slightly alarmingly, he's got a criminal record for sexual assault, so I should really cut my losses but I think he's pretty cute...

Oh, move on if you don't care for the topic. But IF anyone has actually had positive experiences with him, then I'm especially curious despite the record, which seemed minor and sketchy at best (I'm just not posting it here because it bears his real name. Sounds like it could've been a drunken date who pressed charges...)

I doubt it's his "own" ad. Wandermen does the same thing with their other models by posting ads that look independent of the "agency." But you can usually catch them because they rotate the models through the ads with the same phone number.

 

But if you're still interested after all this time, you may have to "bite the bullet" or "fall on the grenade" without a recommendation. Why is it that a majority of the posters here think someone else has to take the test drive for them. Some of my best, most memorable hires have been with unknown escorts. Some of my worst, most disappointing hires have been with well reviewed and/or highly recommended escorts. That being said, this is one I personally wouldn't take a risk on, my gut tells me it's a scam.

Scorpio, I totally agree with you re: 'taking guys for a test drive'. But it's precisely because I just took a couple of people for a test drive in the past two weeks (and they were both meh) that I wanted info. I suppose I'm always intrigued by the hot new cute guys. But like you I've had meetings with guys who totally faked their pics but it turned out they looked just as good and turned out well for me. But I've also had such major fakes that I've confronted before leaving, or sending them home.

 

Oh, an totally agree with you about the VERY well reviewed guys. Most of the guys who have had amazing reviews here wound up being so-so or bad for me. Maybe another reason I look at newbies... still haven't found my regular go-to guy after my faves retired.

Sorry, but by unknown escorts, I didn't mean people who had faked their photos. I've been hiring since 2000 and have only encountered one escort that used fake photographs, that was 13 years ago. Oddly enough he had multiple positive reviews and recommended highly on the board. It turned out that most of those reviews and forum posts were faked (written by the escort under aliases). But some of the reviews were from established reviewers or posters, who either failed to mention the fake photos or didn't realize they were fake, although I could never figure out how they couldn't have noticed is one of the reasons I don't always trust reviews, even establish reviewers can sometimes exaggerate their experiences.
