I've run across this listing on Manworks: http://www.manworks.com/Listing.aspx?lid=415878&scid=116779819&sp=1&pos=2&locid=1399&iid=484054

Everything looks good, except his rate: he's advertising $40 for an incall. This alone makes me very nervous.

His ad, like most on Manworks, also appears on rentboy.com under Masseurs. Oddly, in that ad, he links to another Masseur: http://www.manworks.com/mascmass4u4. This other masseur advertises 4-handed massages, so perhaps he's a duo partner. A little investigation of that guy leads to this review http://www.daddysreviews.com/search/All/rob/rob_and_brian_sd which says "Daddy Sez: Review pulled by Daddy with prejudice." I'm not sure what that means, or whether I should take it as a reflection of the original guy.

I'm tempted to send the guy a text message that says "I'm interested in your massage services, but your rates seem too low. What's your deal?" Do you think he's likely to be offended by that? Or, should I just listen to my intuition and pass completely?

Daddy pulling the review with prejudice says a lot. I'm not sure what, but I certainly don't need to go there. If this weren't a $40 massage (which is certainly ridiculous and suspicious), would you even bother with it? I think you have answered your own question; things that look to good to be true usually aren't true, and this guy doesn't even look good.

I'm sure there are lots and lots of excellent masseurs in San Diego, and that you will be able to find one for a reasonable price. Remember, cheap is cheap, whether it's clothing, cars, or massages.

I wouldn't worry about the pulled review. You're interested in one guy who does duos with a second guy. The second guy has a questionable review from four years ago that appears to be a duo with a third guy. (the pic from that review suggests that the third guy is hairy hung guy who used to list on mantomanescorts, or they lifted his pic.)

Anyway, you can probably find a polite way to ask about his rates. I wouldn't go with "too low". Maybe say, "I see that your rates are much better than what I'm used to in San Diego". It could be that he's new to this, or just looking for some experience and fun on the side.

I took one for the team. He isn't a scammer or a fraud. He gave a competent (but unremarkable) therapeutic massage with perfunctory sensual elements. For the (extremely low) price, it was a good value, but I don't plan on writing a review because I don't think Daddy's is the place for reviews of Therapeutic massage.
