Regular Bars with strippers in San Diego

I'm not looking for a hustler bar or purely stripper bar, but rather a basic bar or night club that has any type of strippers or dancers in San Diego. I'm going to be there this Friday night and want to see some good eye candy.

 

Also, can anyone recommend a decent, clean, laid back bar in San Diego to go to and just chill out?

LBB, thanks for making this post. I'm arriving in San Diego on Friday also. Haven't been back since I moved in 1978. I'm sure things have changed since then. Hope someone responds. }(

No change for the better. No "laid back" bars that I know of and except on special nights no bars with dancers or go go boys. Pick up Update or one of the other Gay zines when you get in for any special nights. I love the city but not for any kind of Gay related fun.

I don't know of any stipper/go-go bars, but there's a place called "Numbers" (must be one with that name in every city) in the gay area (Hillcrest? I can never remember the area's name, but it's just north of Balboa Park) that's lots of fun with plenty of eye candy. The only skin I remember seeing though was when some of the bartenders took off their shirts -- quite nice. 3 main rooms, 2 dance floors, pool tables, several bars -- and very loud music. Friendly crowd when I was there. Tightly run with good security, but still very free-flowing. I was there late on a Wednesday night in July, and the place was jumping.

A nice laid-back bar with strippers (recently introduced) is Bourbon Street on Park Blvd in University Heights. Good mixed crowd, great atmosphere, several bars set up both indoors and on the patio. And now they have strippers (not fully nude, of course) dancing on the bars on weekend nights.

 

If you're into the way-younger crowd, Numbers has strippers of the boy quality, but I wouldn't call Numbers anything like laid-back.

 

Flicks on University Ave in Hillcrest has guest strippers and porn stars on occasion.
