Someone posted about this film a while ago ... and I couldn't find the thread to add this and bump it up.

 

This is one of the most disturbing movies I have seen in a long time for two reasons.

 

First, of course, is that it is the story of a bisexual serial killer. An incredibly handsome, sexy, seductive french guy who - shade of this forum - kills male prostitutes. I was going to watch just the beginning, to see a few of the early sexy scenes -- and they were, I assured you, incredibly sexy ... he seduces his GF with a lapdance that ends up nude w partial erection. But I was (pardon the pun) sucked in and watched, unwillingly to the end.

 

Second, part of the terror of the thing was that the guy was so gorgeous, that I could imagine myself being drawn into his web easily. I THINK I would have ditched him pretty quickly once I found out what he was up to (his GF, who married him, hung in there with him), but I dunno. I was mesmerized enough by looking at him ... if I had actually slept with him/had sex with him ...

 

And that was something that seemed a little dishonest about the film. Whenever I have seen images of serial killers, they were pretty scrungy looking dudes. The kinda guys you would NEVER pick up hitch-hiking ... never mind get intimate with. But if one of them looked this good ...
