the name & "picture" (ha!) of almost every male sex worker

I just downloaded it on one phone a few days ago, but have not used it as yet. Have you encountered any negatives with the app. Slow messaging etc.

Are you sure they are actually on Whatsapp? Sometimes it goes through your contacts and suggests inviting people in there to Whatsapp.

Nothing alarming, BC: the application WhatsApp access the address book of your smart phone. All your contacts that are already in your address book who use the app will show up under WhatsApp contacts. Most users have an avatar, that's why you're seeing that small rounded photo. I love that app for sending text messages to any international number at no cost.
