FYI....Presidents Day

So I just got back from the Boardwalk. Being President Day, I gave Johnny's the old college try. Even though Alex, my favorite bartender was there, the place was a dead end. So I packed up my toys and headed to the Boardwalk. I walked in and the first person I saw was Steve Ponce. He has been reviewed on Daddy's before, but I did not realize that he was living in FTL. We spent a good part of the evening together, laughing and gossiping. For those that have not met him, he is truly an amazing person. I was glad to hear that he is a permanent resident of Fort Lauderdale. We had a good laugh when he realized that I was from Daddy's. It is interesting to talk to many of these guys on a face to face basis.

 

We had a long discussion on the pros and cons of Swinging Richards. Quite frankly. I don't see the attraction anymore. The Boardwalk was full of dancers and patrons, and everyone was having a great time. I ran into old friends and met Jason, a new bartender at the back bar, incredbly sexy BTW, and he is not to be missed. I would have to say that anyone coming to South Florida, you owe it to yourself to drop into the Boardwalk, because you never know who you will meet.
