Hotel recommendations Pittsburgh/St.Louis

Am traveling to these 2 cities very soon, and wondered if anyone knows of really nice hotels?

I've been to Pittsburgh three times. I've stayed at the Renaissance Pittsburgh hotel in downtown, a traditional classic style hotel. I've stayed there mainly because of its affiliation to the Marriott hotel chain and I wasn't disappointed. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/pitbr-renaissance-pittsburgh-hotel/

The Westin (connected to the convention center) is convenient to the gay bar strip on Liberty St. It's a decent hotel.. but VERY much a convention style property.

Thanks so much, I prefer traditional old fashioned, classic or boutique, quiet hotels, location to gay area not important as am there for work, thanks so much for the Pittsburh suggestions-St.Louis ones welcomed too!

Mark Twain in St Louis is boutique-ish

 

Hilton at the Ballpark has a nice rooftop bar and views of the Arch, the Ballpark and downtown.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch last March. Bid less than $50 on Priceline.
