If an escort is honest but unsafe?

Once again I just want to thank everyone for their input.

 

Not that I feel the need to disclose my decision, but I have cancelled the appointment.

Knowing myself and as many others have suggested I would not be able to enjoy the experience with the safety issue in the back of my mind. And I agree with tom1980, there's simply a greater chance for STDs for someone who engages in unsafe practices with his clients.

Another thing that scared me was his ignorance of not wanting to get tested, and stating it so openly. And since the guy in question didn't seem dumb, but rather very intelligent, all the bits didn't add up.

 

What surprised me about all of this is that my connection with the guy was so perfect, that I was quickly questioning my own set parameters and seriously considering seeing him. Never have I expected my character to get so easily tested so quickly in this hiring game.

It also made me ask the question, which a lot of you already pointed out: What is the difference between someone who openly barebacks and someone who withholds that info from his clients? I have to say that because the first one is a lot more noble than the latter, it made it that much harder for me to cancel. I felt that I was actually punishing someone for their honesty while being well aware that there are many who would have lied to me and got my booking. And then I realized that it wouldn't be fair to all those escorts who preach safety and live by it. I don't know if they are a majority or minority and that is beyond the point here. But while I know that everyone could be lying, it does put me at ease somewhat to hear that the other party is "safe". This won't make me forgo a condom or change my "safe" sex practices any time soon, but mentally it does help block out all the extraneous stuff and enjoy an appointment. Maybe I got some growing up to do, and so be it. It's just where I'm at right now.
