Nice to see all you US posters still online after the black-out. I assume you are all crouched over your keyboards holding large candles...see, they are not just sex toys!

Lots of us don't live in the Northeast, which was the area affected by the blackout. (And not even all the Northeast was in the dark: Most of New England was unaffected.) The U.S. is HUGE, and there are several different power grids, so just because one goes out doesn't mean everything else does, too!

 

BTW, are we to assume that something like this could NEVER happen in the U.K.? Because if the electrical grid there is in the same kind of shape as the rail and tube systems, you'd better stock up on some of those big candles yourself, luv! Especially if the heat wave continues! Don't use them all the candles as sex toys, because you may soon find yourself needing them for their original purpose! }(
