I must arise to defend the NOPD. i lived there from 2000-2011 and i NEVER heard of this type of practice. I actually met with NOPD about my biz. I voluntarily submitted to a drug and hiv test and they told me that i was good for the convention and tourist business. I had a nice working relationship with them and they actually told me not to hesitate to call them if a client goes violent or something on me. Now my info is 2.5 years old but even on my tours back the nopd has been nothing but kind. They are also very helpful to tourists and visitors. Yes, we had corrupt officers but attacking the sex trade was last on their list when i lived there and i NEVER even heard of a bust of a male or a female who advertised ONLINE. now on the streets that is a whole other ballgame.

the cops were my friends there. The thugs on the streets pulling guns on me were my enemy. I thanked God every day i lived there for the NOPD. seriously......

I believe these types of accusations pertaining to police are extremely common in most National and International major cities.
