Boi, oh boi

This afternoon, whilst browsing a local bookstore, I spied a newly published tome purporting to examine how white people are stealing the culture of black people in this country. The photo on the jacket featured a lily

white ass peaking out of a pair of baggy, low-riding dungarees!

It made me think for a moment about the now omnipresent use of "boi", which I've always taken to indicate a difference in pronounciation - less aspiration on the "b", and a lengthening "i" in the diphthong..."bo-eee", a pronounciation that comes from urban african-american dialect.

I'm not sure why this distinction has become so prevalent in the escort business. I suppose it's because most all young men aged 18-27 are to some degree enslaved to popular culture, and the pop culture of choice these days is hip-hop.

In any case, if the boys want to be boiz, it's fine with me. I dearly love an ass hanging out of it's pants, no matter what color it is.
