yes. Rick P. is correct. If anything try to arrange more 2 or 3 hour appointments. I have been asking my clients to dinner after we are done and that is working fabulously. Nothing like actually getting to know your clients outside of the bedroom. If word gets out you discount then U R DONE! There is still a market for upscale high end providers but these men expect EXCELLENT customer service and client services...........

I saw this and a couple of questions came to mind, that I am just curious about Mikey. Let's assume after 2 hours you ask a client to dinner. Who pays for the dinner and do you charge them for your time? Or this just a way to get to know them better on a casual basis, and establish a relationship whereby they would be more likely to hire you again? It seems like a nice marketing tool and a win win for you and the client. I think a lot of clients really want that kind of informal connection that you would have with someone at dinner, especially after sex, because all the pressure or angst about having sex would be gone. Perfect time to just sit and chat and get to know the client better...curious.

As a client, I'd be very drawn to an escort that advertised "session" rates, rather than "hourly" rates. In my ideal scenario, I'd like to spend a few minutes chatting and getting to know an escort, then get down to business, and then some pillow talk or a casual dinner.

When I hire for one hour, I feel the need to get right to the main event, and ultimately miss the personal connection that is there when time isn't an issue. I know that I could hire for a two or three hour session, but then I start asking myself whether I'd rather have two or three one hour sessions, and the "little head" always wins the argument: I go for one hour, but hire more often.

I really value the social time with an escort, but not on the same level as the sexual time. It feels reasonable to me to pay $200-$250/hour for sex, but paying that rate for social time rubs me the wrong way, and maybe makes me feel a little desperate for friends, which I'm not. Would I ever pay someone $200/hour to sit next to me at a broadway show? Hell, no.

Having said this, I think there are few problems with this idea:

1. Scheduling could be very difficult for the escort. They'd never know whether they were going to see a 40-minute, "wham bam, thank you sir" client or a client that had in mind to hang out endlessly.

2. It would be very difficult to articulate this kind of service in ads.

3. It could be a real disaster if the client had expectations of a long, relaxed session, but there wasn't any chemistry to form the basis of the social time.

I've found that this year, on the contrary, has been very busy. October is trending a bit slower, but the past 9 months were exceptional.

I agree with previous posts that discounting one hour appointments is an extremely bad idea. I did it on one occasion a few years back and will never do it again.

Meh, I can't see how one would be eternally doomed by doing so. I've been able to have clients come back again and again by offering discounted rates, sometimes on every other appointment. Or, I've been able to keep and attract clients who are looking to only do 1 thing...rather than charge $200 for 20 minutes of...well I won't go into detail.

The way I look at is, I can either charge the higher rate and see them maybe twice a year if that...or offer something different and have them more often. Now, there's so many variables to this. When I'm traveling, I can't really offer discounts (and I wouldn't even call it 'discounts', but rather 'a rate that's tailored to their needs'). It's just too much overhead involved plus the mental frame of mind is greater than being at home.

At the same time, I still have my longer session clients. I'm not sacraficing one over another. But when I started out, I tried doing the 'rentboy' rates for awhile but it just wasn't holding steady. Whereas, I was able to meet guys who seen me more often for a lesser rate, sometimes by just a little bit. Another thing is, although $200-250 may work well in many areas, it may not work as well in others. I know me and Chris Eisenhower have discussed this in the past, but some places just won't accept $200. And when you're using men4rent as big part of your advertising, it can be confusing when you're in Nashville one week and then San Francisco the next. I know the entire time I was in SF, I had nothing less than 250. But I can't do the same in San Antonio.
