Red Cross Returns Body Parts by Fed Ex!!

I couldn't believe this story until I read it for myself. The Red Cross used Fed Ex to send a father the body parts of his 17 year-old son!

 

The organs were removed upon the sons death. The father, however, insisted that the parts NOT be sold or used for profit. He felt they should be given FREE to the needy recepiants. Red Cross got their shorts in a bunch and returned to body parts!

While the corneas were returned by Fed Ex to the funeral home, the remainder were hand-carried in a cooler to the funeral home. It is not clear what else could have been done. It is unreasonable to expect Doctors and hospitals to do transplants for free.
