They chickened out

I woke up this morning (OK, it was actually an hour ago but that's morning to me) and eagerly checked the news to see the decision in the Massachusetts gay marriage case. Today was their self-imposed deadline but they haven't decided yet, and now they're in recess. Seems like they know what they have to do but are afraid to do it, no?
