The Dating Thread

Apropos of Chris' Plan B post, I thought I'd start a thread for those who are dating, whether you're meeting your partners online or offline.

 

As for me, I'm now going out with two guys, both of whom I met online. The first guy, whom I mentioned in my Boyfriend for the Fluffiest Member thread , had some issues with his ex bringing in an early 20s boyfriend to live in the house with the two young daughters. This caused a lot of trouble in his life, so we decided to take a break. He says he's ok now and he really wants to see me. If it works out, it would be nice to see him before I leave for the midwest.

 

Both are in their 50s and yes, both are alpha male types who are also intellectual. The second guy has never been married, so while I'd love to believe his big talk about how I'm perfect for him, I have to acknowledge the probabilities there.

 

The second guy, is someone I dated about six years ago. He actually flew out to see me in CA, but my head was elsewhere at the time and I didn't appreciate him. I emailed him during my break from the first guy and we got together. He's more relaxed and is proud of himself after making some good investments. He is now looking to focus and buy a new company. I really like that he's ambitious and wants to keep working instead of retiring in his 50s like some finance guys do. After all, I will continue to work, marriage or not. Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather have a working husband too--even if he were to give away all his income.

 

We had our third date last night. We had a great time at Gramercy Tavern and then went down to see a movie. Great time. He asked if I want to get away, and where to. I mentioned one of my fave destinations, and it turns out a friend of his may be flying there in a NetJet next week, or we could just take a flight. Either way, I'm always hesitant to travel with guys, but I think we would have a good time.

 

My third guy is BVB. Fluffy is sitting on the couch, her paw on the phone, waiting for him to call about our third date.
