Is it possible to introduce a new concept to the Escort Travels section? A super-famous Los Angeles escort, Rod Hagen, has announced that he will be in New York for one day and will see only one client. I am encouraging him to add some fun here to the MC and auction this appointment to the highest bidder. Of course, it is for his time only. I have already been outbid, but wouldn't it be nice if this concept catches on? Then we will really see the "market value!" Who better to start than the bold Rod?

Not a bad idea, however how can any "posters" know that they won't be outbid by a "lurker", too shy to participate in a thread, but horned enough to email me privately?

Well lurkers wouldn't be allowed! Simple as that. If they want the appointmnent bad enough, they will just have to get in the ring with the rest of us!

Does that mean you're game?:)

Thanks, but I must respectfully decline. I don't entirely trust the process, and I don't feel that any money is at least Some money, meaning I'd rather earn nothing than settle for something beneath my sense of self-worth. Which is, perhaps, why I will never be a successful businessman.

I agree with you. I commend you for declining.

That's why you need to set a "reserve" price. You could also set a "buy it now" price that's over your normal fee to see if someone wants you so bad that he'll pony up the $$ just to be sure he wins.

(In case anyone is confused, I'm only kidding.)

RE: The Auction....Not Yet

Well, thanks for considering it. It was a new idea whose time may not have yet come. Perhaps it is the wave of the future, but the downside is that the rich guys would always win.
