"Good Television" - Atlantic Theater Company

Saw this tonight. It got a good Times review when it opened earlier this week. Tonight's performance was sold out. The word is that the run has been extended. (Atlantic Theater Co. is a repertory house that generally has limited runs.)

 

I found it gripping. Tight writing, good directing, excellent cast. The premise is a TV reality show centered on following the life of an addict and attempts to get him or her into treatment. It is imaginatively done and, in the end, very powerful. It certainly left me feeling wrung out emotionally, and that's what really good theater should do. Worth the effort to see it.
