Finally back in NYC after a two year stint staying at home. Stopped in at Stella's for a drink after getting settled in my hotel. Wasn't planning on meeting anyone, but just wanted to unwind and pick up the local bar rags. Saw this incredibily cute young latin man at the bar with a "client" when I came in. I thought they were hitting it off and expected they'd be gone when I came back upstairs. After a few trips back and forth between the show downstairs and upstairs, just before I was ready to leave, "Carlos" walked by. He's from Miami; this is the first time he's been to NY and, apparently, the first time he's tried escorting here. I would have loved to have gotten together with him tomorrow afternoon, after a decent night's sleep and without a few too many cocktails in me, but he didn't have a cell phone that worked here in NY.

I tried to talk a bit about the things that one needs to do to be a successful escort, but since I only know this business from the client side and this site, I wasn't sure I should be the one to start lecturing this adorable young man on "Escorting 101." (English is not his native language, BTW.)

Has anyone else found themselves (as a client) mentoring a novice escort? "Carlos" has been here almost a week and, apparently, hasn't had much success. Unless New Yorker's tastes in men have changed, I can't believe an incredibly cute, muscular, shorter, young latin wouldn't have been popular with the Stella's crownd, unless he just wasn't handling his marketing properly.

We discussed a convoluted means of connecting tomorrow, but most of the men I've met at Stella's aren't exactly wizards of scenario planning, so I doubt that anything will happen before he returns to Miami on Sunday. But observations of other clients here would be appreciated.
