In the early previews Ms Midler had to be cued on a number of ocassions and professed having a lot of anxiety taking on this project, but it looks like she has pulled it off and the show will be a hit. Many questioned if her fans would go see her in a non-musical role but box office has been good and tickets are getting scarce (sadly "discounted" seats were selling at $100!!! and no sign of any TDF offers).

The play opened last night and the reviews are in. I have a ticket for later in May, so it'll be a while before I offer my two cents on this produtcion. Interestingly Ms Midler is doing a 7PM curtain, the show runs 90 minutes (what is this Vegas? LOL) and there are no Thursday performances.

Anyone been?

NYTimes and NYPost loved it and gave it glowing reviews, other reviewers, not so much.

Saw this in April. Enjoyed it very much and there's not a bad seat in the house.

Some in our group were a little disappointed that the majority of the show is done with her sitting on the couch. Not a lot of action.

FYI, don't be late. Once the curtain goes up, there is no late seating.

Saw it today and absolutely loved it. She is the Bette of old days, maybe slightly limited in delivery but for this role its perfect and some hilarious writing. if you are a fan you will definitely enjoy

Much to my surprise and utter delight, I saw this production Monday evening and absolutely LOVED it!!!!

Bitchy, vulgar, dishy, and hysterically funny, Ms. Midler gives life to the Hollywood powerhouse broker Ms. Mengers and lets it all fly.

Completely and utterly SOLD OUT...SRO!

Bravo Bette and thank you for 90 minutes of fun and entertainment.

If possible, RUN and try and get a swat. Closes June 30 They just added a performance on Sunday Jun 2.

Attended last nights performance and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Bette Midler is outstanding, her timing is impeccable and her delivery is spot-on. Don't know if I missed a part of the 90 minute performance that others have spoken of, but the performance last night was 80 minutes.
