Here I am in the library studying for final exams, and I get a call from a blocked number. Who might it be? Just Men4RentNow rudely reminding me that my ad has expired last March and that I could renew with them at any time to get access to my missed clients.

I've let ads run out with them before - I've never had them call me.

As for re-subscribing .... yeah, no thanks.

I'm sure this has been covered here...but it was new to me since I never look at The Wanted List(lol) on M4RN.

If a client hires a guy from DA LISS and say two weeks later he reposts for an escort on DA LISS using the same handle and the same escort replies again. Client decides not to hire again for whatever reason. Since this escort has your email & probably phone number from the previous hire, he can submit a bad client review as retribution for not choosing him again. It has happened to two of my best clients TWICE in ATL. Those fuckers at M4RN ain't removing the bad review either!

Whether the escort is a regular advertiser or just a meth-head one monther and disappears forever...his dickishness is attached to you---the client--your email & your phone.

Advice to Wanted List users...change your handle often!!! Because if you don't rehire the same dude when he responds again to your bid, he will post a bad review to get you!

That's fucked up!

Thank you! I had a final presentation yesterday, have a biiiiiig one coming up today (about a 45 minute presentation for a project I've been working on all semester) and then two finals next week. I was just extended an offer with a software/web dev company as a business analyst intern, full time and paid ... so I may be flying low on the radar this Summer!

Do it, get a good-paying job and then hire me when you come up to DC and need to "relax" and "unwind."

(I always find it funny when people contact me and say that they've had a hard week and need to "relax" and "unwind." No explanation is necessary, I thought you just wanted to get fucked.)

Why would you answer a blocked number in the first place, Xander? ;)[/color]

I've answered blocked calls before and it was one of my clients calling from a hotel phone or something similar. But 9 times out of 10 it's someone who will ask explicit questions or ask for pics or not be able to tell me who I am or how they even found me.

For a while I had a specific outgoing message that played to unknown callers that said something along the lines of: "You're getting this message because you called from an unknown or blocked number. If you'd like to get together, be sure to 1) leave me a voicemail telling me something about yourself and 2) some contact info so I can get in touch with you. Without that I have no way to contact you back." Not one single person ever left a voicemail or contact info, out of scores of blocked calls. I started to post something about it on the board and figured, why bother... if you're man enough to contact an escort, you're man enough to not hide behind a blocked number.

And "remind me who this is again" is never a good sign.
