Where would you choose for a long Memorial day weekend, Ft Lauderdale or Tampa Bay? Looking for fun bars, good food, beaches, Strip clubs and cute boys.

Where would you choose for a long Memorial day weekend, Ft Lauderdale or Tampa Bay? Looking for fun bars, good food, beaches, Strip clubs and cute boys.

 

Tampa has the best beaches, period...and dinner at Donatello's or Mise En Place coupled with a fine merlot and good friends and a late night rendezvous with the local boys in Ybor City, which is very reminiscent of the "Quarter" in Orleans, makes Tampa for me hard to resist, "but"..... and there always is a "but"..... I think when all is said and done, the laid back attitude of the locals in Lauderdale, Sebastian's gay Beach, which is just down from the Ritz and those notoriously fun bars in Wilton Manors, like The Village Pub, Alibi's, and Rosie's, and toss in a dash of the boys from the Boardwalk, and those beautiful boys at Swinging Richards, which is just a tad bit south bound on I-95, all makes for a slam dunk recipe for fun in Fort Lauderdale. Of course any city is what you make of it...good luck!!!!

The best beaches are just a few miles from Tampa in Clearwater, FL (Feel free to gush here when you have seen them and felt that fine fine sand under your feet) :-)

For a romantic escape you may want to try Sanibel Island and Captiva just down the Coast.

Fort Lauderdale has one of the best escort and stripper scenes in the world. There are some nice museums and some snorkeling with manatees near Tampa. I don't know if the manatees are still there at the end of Spring, though.

I live in the Tampa Bay area. Lots of fun to be had here. Some of the best beaches anywhere. But, Ft. Lauderdale has better strip clubs. And those HOT South Florida men. Mmmmmm.
